After a month of extensive testing of ISA 2004. Here is the only problem that I am plauged with. Perhaps I missed something in the book, but If anyone out there knows the sollution to this problem, then any help would be appreciated.

Inbound PPTP connections to ISA 2004 works with every client except 1, Another ISA 2004 Server

I cant use this other ISA Server (04) as a site to site VPN (various reasons).

The Error I receive one the Client ISA04 is 619.
Nothing shown in the event log
On that ISA Server there is two rules.
One rule allows ALL traffic from ISA04 Client to ISA04 Server
The Second Rule Allows All traffic from ISA04 Server to ISA04 Client

Deeper Debugging.
Firewall Policy Permits ISA04 Server access to ALL
as a Remote Management Computer

Now this is where it gets weird.

ISA04 Client can VPN to ISA04 Server while on the same network externally.

No errors or alerts are generated on the ISA04 Server.
No events are generated on the ISA04 Server

Uninstalling the ISA04 On the Client Server, Allows complete access.

Any suggestions?

Hi Rem,

So, if I'm reading this correctly, you want to use a VPN connectoid on the remote ISA firewall to connect to the main office?

Just create the VPN connectoid on the remote ISA firewall, and then configure it in the Dial-up entries in the ISA firewall console.

HTH,
Tom

Hi Remdotc,

I have the same problem with 3 ISA servers, noone including MS after spending 5 hours in my ISA server have any idea.

The funny part is that you remove the ISA and VPN outbound works like a charm, MS is telling me that it is the remote server doing something to the packets, but if i remove ISA it works fine.

There are many of these posts on here, NOONE has any idea on how to fix it. ISA is great for somethings but absolute rubbish for this issue.

Regards,
Ryan O'Dwyer

Thanks Tom.

Yes basicly the remote ISA server is to act as a VPN Client, not a Site to Site.

I can get this to function but only if of the same public network as the other ISA.
