Hello,

today our isa2004 productively replaces the isa 2000.
We now have an problem to connect to vpn clients using windowsXP VPN through the same NAT Internetrouter. Any Idee what configuration must be changed on ISA 2004 to get the smae behavior then 2000?

Thanks

Andreas

I had a problem using a Windows XP VPN client through a NAT into our ISA 2004 and according to Microsoft it's a known issue:

Is this what your problem is?

Thanks for your reply, but ...

I already run this fix. It is included in XP SP2.
VPN access works fine if only one client is connected through this NAT Router. The problem comes up when the second client wants to connect through the same NAT Router.

Any other Idee?

Hi Taz,

Is the router RFC compliant?

Thanks!
Tom

I've seen issues like this where the NAT device confuses the PPTP Call ID information of the first connection with the second connection.

PPTP and L2TP can work fine with multiple clients behind the same NAT device as long as the NAT device is translating the traffic correctly. Do you have another NAT device you can test with? Why type of NAT device is it?
