Middo -> No access to webs sites using IP numbers in their web address (4.Sep.2001 1:17:00 PM)

Problem, I have create destinations rules for access to particular web sites, this works fine, but any web address that contains an IP address i.e. http://192.168.150.224 is blocked dispite various configurations I have tried in the destination rule.

Hi Middo,

There are no servers on the Internet in the private address range, so that probably why you can't access them.

Tom

Opps, bad example. One particular site I'm having problems with is a site call www.streetmap.co.uk, which works fine until it tries to load the map images which are being loaded from the address http://195.92.245.225/.... Anyone viewing this web via the destination set only see the web page without the map images, turn the destination set off and the whole page loads. I've tried various different ways of entering this address into the destination set but none work.
