Hi Hasn,

Unfortunately, I don't have access to a PPPoE DSL line to test my hypothesis [Frown]

Hi Quintar,

Check in the task manager and see if there are any runaway processes.

Thanks!

Hi Tom,
it seems that every time I think I have ISA figured out, it does something new to upset me.

My internet was working fine on my client machines. One was a secure NAT and one a firewall client. Then over the last two days, performance has been really bad. Slow slow slow. Also, on the ISA machine, when I ping external sites, sometimes I only get 2-3 replies and the rest time out.

My internal network connections are fine, so I don't think it's a NIC or cables. I did take a look at my LAT, to see if there are any problems. I also tried reinstalling ISA, but still, performance is slow. I'm ready to give up on ISA and go to my old setup. I'll greatly appreciate if you can give me some input here.

Thanks!

Hi...

Problem solved .... what I did is REINSTALL ISA and without clicking the button "CONSTRUCT LAT"
Instead I simply Add My Internal IP ... after Isntallation .. I Skip the whole wizard and simply create One RULE and One PROTOCOL... DETAILS are :---

1st Step ---->

ACCESS POLICY ==> PROTOCOL RULE ==> Right Click ==> NEW RULE ==> Name it TEST ==> ALLOW ==> ALL IP TRAFFIC ==> ALWAYS ==> ANY REQUEST ==> FINISH

2nd Step ---->

ACCESS POLICY ==> IP PACKET FILTERS ==> Right Click ==> NEW FILTER ==> Name It TEST ==> ALLOW PACKET TRANSMISSION ==> CUSTOM ==> IP PROTOCOL --> ANY --> DIRECTION --> BOTH ==> DEFAULT IP ADDRESS....... ==> ALL REMOTE COMPUTERS ==> FINSH

--------------------------------------------------

This setting is working for me ... REMEMBER ITS USED ONLY FOR TEST AND VERY "UNSECURED". You'll need to restrict many things ..

HOPE THIS WILL HELP YOU .....

REGARDS
HASN
