I have a problem creating the data source for a remote SQL server "[Frown]" . When I try to create the System DNS it fails to connect to the server. Inside the ISA log files is lots of lines with:
Establish and right after Terminate SQL sessions.

In the System Policy I have allowed remote logging to remote server and in the trusted destination is the "Internal" network.

Hi

Well I have already followed the guide at MS.
I think it is one thing in the summary I am missing:
quote:
and then configure the ISA Server to permit remote SQL Server logging and to store the log data in the SQL server database
Under the guide to "Set up the ODBC data source on the ISA Server 2004 computer" it is number 9 which fails.
It returns a
"Connection Failed"
"SQL server Error : 10061"
"[TCP/IP Sockets] SQL Server does not exist or access denied"

I have tried from another Win2003 Server to create the same ODBC connection and it works well.

It is somehow the ISA firewall which blocks. Inside the log is as I wrote lots of Establish and right after Terminate SQL sessions.
