We run ISA 2000 server and we have one client that shows up in the ISA logs as an administrator. I have checked his workstation and he is logged in with correct (non-administrator) user name. Any clues?
Thanks Bio - I can't think of any application running on his workstation that requires admin credentials. He DOES however, have admin access to the servers, and logs in thru Remote Desktop in Win XP, he is the only other person with admin priviledges besides myself.

One thing I was able to determine: it appears to be something in the user's configuration/profile. On the client in question, there are a couple other profiles for domain user accounts. I logged on using one of these, and ISA2K4 correctly identified the username in Monitoring. However, the primary user is still being reported as someone else.
Now, what's REALLY interesting is that the user they are being reported as happens to be a user whose email they are responsible to check using Outlook Web Access. They check the email from this client PC. I'm considering deleting all the cookies to see if that does anything.

Additional testing shows:
IP address of "User A" being reported in ISA2004 logs as "User B". The client was using the FW client software from ISA2000. Upgraded FW client to ISA2004 version - no change - username still being reported incorrectly.
Went back and looked at ISA Logs on ISA2000 server for "User A" - in ISA2000, the user is correctly identified.
There appears to be a bug in ISA2004 where it is not correctly identifying the username. I've run out of things to try.

FIXED !
On the client in question, go to Control Panel, User Accounts, Advanced tab, Manage Password button. In the list that appears you should see an item for the name of the ISA server. Click it, examine its properties, and you will see the username being logged in the ISA logs. The solution is simple - delete the entry from the list. Voila - correct username now logs in ISA.
