I forgot to add my name, lost my whole reply.... darn it.
Anyway, yes I got your mini code snippet. I did get it to work for a single name and URL name range and got it imported into ISA2004.
What I really need is the "v0.94b" .vbs webfiler script referenced below re-written to work with ISA2004. I'v been away from programming too long it would take me forever to re-write it.
This will do exactly what I need: - download URL and IP values for multiple "hot button" categores that really need to be blocked in business (porn, gambleing, webmail, etc)
- move these downloaded files in the the appropriate catetegories in ISA2004.
I want to set up a AT command file to get these updates and apply them on a weekly schedule.
Someone (better than me) should be able to knock this off in no time at all. Me, it would be weeks!...
Vic
ORIGINAL POST I'M REFERENCING: There is some opensource webfilters based on .vbs scripts that will import and open-source webfilter listing ( something like a virus-update but then with websites ) that is updated weekly with sub types of content ( porn / games / violence / etc.. ) that you can then give rules within ISA.
As far as I know if should work with ISA 2004.
Here , have a look :
http://www.squidguard.org/ -> for the listings http://www.gslahr.og.bw.schule.de/ml/tools/webfilter-v0.94b.exe
for the filter.

Hello Tom,
May you send the script to me at neo_riker@yahoo.com
We tried to edit the xml of the domain sets that we made in the ISA and then copy into it the list of sites we wish to block. We did followed the format of the xml files. When we import the xml into the forbibeen sites xml we got error. The error was on oleaut32.dll.
When we delete the imported xml and restart the firewall, no error occured.
We tried to post around 1000 sites. We have still 800,000 in waiting. Do you have any idea on how many ISA would be able to handle?
If I use http filter, then all sites with that keyword will be block. Not all sites with that keyword are porn.So we thought that domain sets of URL set is just a better idea
Thanks

Thanks Tom...and everyone else. This works fantastically. Still a duffer needs more help. Can I add all the key words I want in one place or have to give a new name every time? Tom , I never managed to use your script. PS Can we edit/ replace the default deny page that isa server dishes out??

Hi Tom, First Thanks to your Excellent Web Site, and reading the boards, I have managed to set up ISA server 2004.
I am having a problem with blocking keywords as we are a school and I need to prevent the secondary school pupils typing certain keywords into google ie searching for porn.
and then blocking the search results I have manged to set up a group called students and placed the names their, I selected configure http go to signatures, enter the keyword porn and do one for request body and one for response body called porn2, do I have to make a deny group or place it in the same allow
Details KS4 STUDENTS - ALLOW DNS HTTP MMS PNM RTSP
FROM INTERNAL TO External CONFIGURE HTTP BLOCK RESPONSES CONTAINING WINDOWS EXECUTABLE CONTENT BLOCKED EXTENSIONS MP3,.MOV,.ZIP,.BAT,CMD.
SIGNATURES MSN MESSENGER PORN /Request Body / signature to block porn PORN2 /Response Body /signature to block porn [ September 06, 2004, 10:00 AM: Message edited by: C Parker ]

Hi Tom,
Thanks for a great site, it really helped me with some ISA 2000 issues earlier in the year.
I am a newbie to ISA 2004, and I am trying to use your vbs script to import a urlset from a text file.
BUT... I don't really know what I'm doing with the vbs file... If I save it and the txt file to a temp dir.. and run it ... I get an error. BUT... if I then create an empty UrlSet called Urls, then the script runs ... BUT... nothing is added to the UrlSet called Urls, I can add entries to it manually, but thats it.
Can I trouble you for assistance please.

I'm looking for a simplistic solution, and while the thread was somewhat helpful, it lacked specifics that would simplify the task.
Based on the earlier thread: 1) Where can I find a good, comprehensive start list of sites or keywords around which to build a filter?
2) Once I have the list of URLs or keywords, what is the best method for importing that into ISA Server 2004?
I'm operating under the assumption that basic filter protection plus the threat of monitoring & logging will take care of 99% of the issues that might arise in a small K-6 not-for-profit school.
I'm finding it hard to pay the large annual fee for the commercial products. Thx.
