Domain set lists -how to block whole web site? - 15.Feb.2005 9:01:00 PM

Hello,

I have created a couple of domain sets for blocking access. For example, adult and porn

Within my lists if a site is set as aff.com for example if you attempt to connect to www.aff.com it will succeed.

If within my list a site is set as *.add.com then www.aff.com will fail, however aff.com will succeed.

What is the best method to prevent that?

Hi Thomas,

You need to add both, since the wildcard isn't the the same as the non-wildcarded entry.

HTH,
Tom
