Single NIC connected to multiple networks - 28.Sep.2004 6:13:00 PM

Event: 21125: ISA Server detected a network adapter connected to multiple networks: Address 192.168.23.1 belongs to network 'LN-DR' and address 192.168.0.1 belongs to network 'Untrusted-Internal'.

Hi all - ISA Server with 2 NICs
NIC #1: Internal [192,168.33.0/24] - normal PCs
LN-DR [192.168.23.0/24] - DR network
Untrusted-Internal [192.168.0.1/24] - untrusted internal laptops etc.
NIC #2: External [a.b.c.d]

We have configured multiple networks on single NIC - ISA seems to accpet these, but loads of errors in event log [see above] and some traffic being blocked that should be going through.

Can you have multiple networks on single NIC in ISA 2004?

Thanks for any help.

Hi Jurgen,

Each NIC is the root of a single ISA firewall network. All addresses directly reachable from a particular NIC is part of that NICs network.

HTH,
Tom
