j0ep -> Use ISA 2004 as irc proxy with authentication (8.Nov.2004 12:20:00 PM)

I've setup a ISA 2004 single nic configuration. Now, I want to act it as a irc (or socks) proxy server which should be accesible internal and external. Seeing the external conntion I want to secure it. To accomplish all this I have the following questions:

- How can I setup a IRC/Socks proxy in ISA 2004 ?
- What options are there for authentication ? Do I need to use the fc or are there other possibilities ?

Hi Joep,

No problem! Just put another NIC or two in that ISA firewall , and you'll have full access to all protocol you configure the ISA firewall to allow through.

Remember, is a firewall first, Web proxy second.

HTH,
Tom
