I want to setup ISA 2004 in a DMZ and pass the traffic to Exchange...SMTP,POP3,OWA...

Will I be able to do this with one nic in the Server. If so any help would be appreciated

Thank you

Hi Marioisa,

Sounds like you want all the features the ISA firewall has to offer. Since the ISA firewall is a firewall, and firewalls require two or more interfaces. get a second NIC in that ISA firewall so that you can benefits from all the ISA firewall's firewall features.

Remember, the ISA firewall is always a firewall. Use it, protect your network from the gaping security holes in your "hardware firewall" and life will be good!

Hi Tom

I was asking this question regarding one nic because in your book it talk about some feature being remove when only one nic in the Server.
Like Server Publishing Rule that are needed when you want ISA in front of Exchange.

My true question was can it be done with one Nic???
