Hello,

I have setup the proxy on ISA 2004 however certain websites do not appear to be working correctly. For example when opening Hotmail I get as far as the login screen and then it fails to open the inbox with a Proxy timeout screen. Some people have suggested not caching certain sites so I have tried disabling caching but this has not helped. I also seem to have problems logging into Ebay. Anyone else had this problem, or know what's going on?

Thanks in advance.....

I am having the exact same issue. When I try to search Ebay go into hotmail, yahoo mail or even download drivers from Hp.com my connection times out. When I check the log I am getting the following error "Failed Connection Attempt". I am also finding browsing to be much slower, yet downloading "when it actually works" faster. I have also turned off caching with no success to getting this to work.

My ISA setup is as follows.

ISA 2004 SP1 on Windows 2003 Server with SP1 and it is setup with one NIC card at the moment with plans to have it setup as a back end firewall when I have the time to research further.

Found the problem to this. I am using the ISA behind a Sonicwall Firewall that has content filtering on it. Even though we do not subscribe to the content filtering the option was still enabled. After switching off the content filtering the problem seems to be resolved. This was an issue going from a HTTP to an HTTPS session.
