Hello

Another problem with ISA2004 that did not exist with ISA2000:

W have multiple offices and users with laptops. Up to now, they could just go to another office, plug in to the network and use the Internet. It was configured with manual or sript settings leading to Internal interface of ISA server in their "home" network. So they were still using "their" ISA server as the web proxy, regardless of the office they were in (ease of use was (is) more important than performance, especially because we have quite fast WAN links).

Now, the network behind Internal interface has it's own Web proxy address (let's say: IP1) and all networks behind the other interface(s), leading to the other offices) have their own Web proxy address (IP2). This makes the users have to change their internet settings to IP2 when they move to another office "[Frown]"

The same problem exists with Firewall client !

Any ideas ?

I don't understand why the hell they broke so many useful features with new ISA version "[Confused]"

regards

Hi Maciej,

That is true. They must now use the listener on the network they are located on.

i guess using DNS Names instead of IP in the listener config would help.

Hi Gerpion,

Yes, you just have to be careful to assign different names to each interface. It also makes wpad problematic too. [Frown]
