Good day.
I am attempting to download a tar.gz file for a linux client from my Windows XP SP2 computer (firewall/web proxy client to the ISA 2004 server) but I keep getting the following error:
quote:Error Code: 500 Internal Server Error. The request was rejected by the HTTP filter. Contact your ISA Server administrator. (12217)
When I open ISA Management and look at the firewall monitor I see the following error for the denied connection:
quote:Blocked by the HTTP security filter: the response content is encoded and cannot be scanned
When I open the HTTP properties for the outbound rule I do not see where to modify this behavior. Can anyone here help me?

Okay, I solved this myself after finding a couple other posts regarding this same issue.
It was the Response Body filter rule for the 'Bogus Google Toolbar' that I had enabled in the HTTP filter following the directions from this site for it(http://www.isaserver.org/articles/2004fakegoogle.html). Removing the rule for the Response Body allowed me to download the tar.gz file successfully.

I think this is an issue with 'Byte Range' or 'Format: Text' rather than any specific signatures.
I recently downloaded and installed the block filter settings from www.toolzz.com
For instance I currently have MS04-013-1 and MS04-013-2 in my signatures, when both are enabled I cant access the iTunes Shop, however if I disable MS04-013-2 the iTunes Shop opens fine ... looking closely at MS04-013-2 it has 'Format: Text' and a 'Byte Range' of 1-100 as do the majority of the other signatures.
I'm not sure why this would be ... so over to Tom?
