Hi all,

can anyone give me more ideas on the setting on ISA 2004 cache rule, "Cache SSL response"? from the help menu, it state that You can configure whether SSL objects are maintained in the ISA server cache.

I would like to know is it only cache the SSL objects, ex: gif, images ? will it cache the SSL transaction? for example when I use online trading ?

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/isa/2004/plan/faq-caching.mspx says:
"Q: Can I cache Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) responses?"
with the answer:
"A. Yes, you can configure that SSL responses should be cached by right-clicking the cache rule, and selecting Cache SSL responses on the Advanced tab. Note that this setting only affects SSL traffic that is bridged. Tunneled SSL traffic cannot be cached."

Note this is says BRIDGED SSL responses can be cached - ie: usually for published resources internally.
It says tunneled SSL (ie: between the remote webserver and teh client machine) CANNOT be cached.

Thanks for the explanation !
So if I configure my ISA 2004 for cache mode proxy only, it won't cache any https traffic right? (tunneled SSL)
