tinto -> Reducing bandwidth usage for a streaming server (10.Nov.2004 4:11:00 PM)

Hi,

from within my network many clients should have the chance to use a web site where there are many streaming videos.
These videos are 270Kbit/s, so we've got a problem.

My question is: maybe content dowload jobs come in our aid? Is it possible so say "download&cache *everything *in that site every 20 minutes"?
Will it work? Or have I to create a whole mirror server inside my network?

Thanks in advance

but I don't want to install media services on my isa pc for that stupid application [Big Grin]
and at the same time I would not like to buy another server for it

Hi Tinto,

The ISA firewall does not cache streaming media.
