As I understand it GFI Download Security virus checks users' downloads. So if they download the latest Service pack then this will be virus scanned as they download it.

Does this stop p0rn diallers (usually picked as a virus by AV programs) and the like (such as Trojans from pop-up windows)?

What is the benefit of this versus something like Symantec's offering which scans all HTTP (and FTP?) traffic constantly?

This query arises as a sticking point for deploying ISA 2004 is the cost of antivirus (like Symantec which is $10-ish per web user).

has anyone figured out how NOT to install iis on the isa server. I know C:\Program Files\GFI\DownloadSecurity\RemoteModerator kan handle this but as stated i do not want to install iis on the isa server.
At the moment i get this error...
