I spent the better portion of the last week troubleshooting a streaming media problem on my ISA 2004 server. I pretty much scoured this message board as well as the internet and tried just about every suggestion I found. Since it was only streaming media that wasn't working, I was focusing on ISA... but it ended up being SurfControl.
I found that there was a hotfix (HotFix 1) for SurfControl v5.0 w/ SP1. The hotfix is for issues unrelated to streaming, but it fixed all my streaming media problems. It also fixed a McAfee EPO communication problem I was having.
I noticed a lot of people on this message board with messages about streaming media not working. If you are using SurfControl v5.0 w/ SP1 then make sure you apply this hotfix! It will save you a lot of time in troubleshooting.
