I have the ISA app installed on a clone server with an Intel 810 motherboard, Pentium III-866, and mirrored IDE hard drives. I cannot change the cache size or drive letter and only a single drive shows up under the config screen. I can decrease the size of the cache (from current 1000 MB), but I cannot go back to the original size.

I have the same installation on a server with an Intel 815 motherboard with no mirrored drives and the cache configuration works fine (all drives show up under the config screen). I have deinstalled the app and reinstalled but get the same problem. I have not installed service pack 1.

I found the problem. Some Win2K services were set to disable and the ISA server had dependencies on these services. Once I got everything started up, then the cache drive configurations info returned to normal.

Hi K,

Good to hear you got it working! What was the service that prevented you from making the change?

Thanks!
Tom

Speaking of services...Does anyone know of a list of services needed to run on an ISA server? I have pondered this before but never really dug deep into it. Some are no-brainers (DHCP Client) some arenĘt.

Thanks,

Rick

Hi Rick,

I've wondered the same thing. But there have been to many more interesting subjects (at least to me)to cover before I get to that one [Wink]

Thanks!
