I have two ISA servers in seperate locations. they are independent of each other. They are basically setup identically. One (server A) has a cache hit ratio of about 60% and the other (server B) has a cache hit ratio of about 2%! The only real difference is that server A has a dedicated partition for web caching and server B has the web cache partition on the same partition as the program files. Does the web cache need to be on a dedicated partition?
I bought both of Tom's books and cannot find any reference that states this requirement. Any help appreciated.

Hi Scientist,

The cache partition makes no difference at all in terms of the hit ratio. I'd look at your traffic statics and make sure all the clients are configured as Web Proxy clients.

HTH,
Tom
