Guest -> ISA as proxy - slow response 1st page (21.Jul.2003 8:11:00 PM)

Hello,

I am attempting to migrate from a MS Proxy 2.0 server to ISA, as a caching proxy.

I have the ISA server set up and it's working great, with one exception.

When I first open IE (6.0), it seems to hang at a blank screen indefinitely. If I click Stop, then Refresh, it loads the page immediately (sometimes have to do it more than once).

The IP configuration of both the old and new server are identical, as is the access through our Checkpoint firewall. Proxy 2.0 does not exhibit this problem at all. Both servers are pointing at our internal Windows 2000 / Active Directory DNS server.

I can't figure out what might be causing this - any suggestions?

Thanks,

Dave

Hi Dave,

1. Configure the browser to use HTTP 1.1 through proxy connections (advanced tab)

2. Configure the clients with the autoconfiguration script (this can be done automatically when you install the Firewall client)

HTH,
Tom
