Hi!

I have problems to publish my websites without
assigning a portnumber in the end of the URL.

With portnumber all websites work great, but many firewalls deny's the use of portnumber.

It mens like this:
http://www.mysite1.com:9999

I am running ISA and IIS 5.0 on the same box.

On the action tab of the web publishing rule I redirect the websites to different ports, but it dosen't seam to work!

Anybody have an explanation?

Hegris ,

ISA and IIS on the same box make sure to disable socket pooling in IIS that will hose thing up for you.

To be hundred % sure I did it again.

After finish I see this:
disablesocketpooling :(BOOLEAN) True

But the big question is, has the script executed the command?

Because netstat -na gives me the same as it was:

TCP 0.0.0.0:21 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING
TCP 0.0.0.0:25 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING
TCP 0.0.0.0:53 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING
TCP 0.0.0.0:119 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING
TCP 0.0.0.0:135 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING
TCP 0.0.0.0:443 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING
TCP 0.0.0.0:445 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING

cont.....

Is this true:

You canĘt create Web Publishing Rules if you install the ISA Server in firewall mode.

Maybe that is why I only can access my websites with the portnumber attached?

Hi Hegris,

You can do Web Publishing in Firewall mode.

I am still having the same problem.
I can reach my websites with port number from the internet, but not without.

I have followed the instruction to disable socketpooling for w3svc service, but when I run netstat -na there is no change if socketpooling is false or true!

Another question is, if socketpooling is disabled, do I have to assign each website with an ip address?

What can be wrong?
