Hi

Hope some og You can help me with the following problem.

I have installed a new SBS 2003 server and my customer wish to use OWA (secure)

I have also installed CA and configured OWA.

The internal servername is: servername.company.local

The customers web site is hosted at an ISP with the name: www.company.com

I'm not sure which name I'm gonna use when contacting the server? Shall I have the ISP to add a host record in DNS like: server.company.com with the ip address to the external interface on the server?

Internal owa works when I use: https://internal ip/exchange

I assume that I'm gonna use:
https://server.company.com/exchange

Thanks

eddie

Hi Eddie,
easiest way I have found is if nothing else is to be hosted on the site, is put a simple redirect to the exchange path.

Some simple javascript code will work or a META refresh as well.

just tell the html page to open https://server.company.com/exchange

and all comms is secure, alternatively you can set IIS to allow only SSL comms to the Web Site.

This will tell the user to put the little s in front of http. and then you can have your redirect kick in.

CA is not necessary unless you are creating multiple certificates, as the CIECW will run you throught the procedure of creating a certificate.

Regards,
Ryan
