what ports to I need to allow to succesfully publish exchange2000 in ISA? I
know i can use the secure mail wizard but i found that by doing this i'm
allowing the exchange rpc/135 port, pop3, imap4 as well as the smtp. can i
get away with just the smtp or port 25 open in order for me to publish
exchange?

Hi George,

The Secure Mail Server publishing Wizard just makes life a little easier, but you certainly don't have to use it. You can create the rules manually if you like.

If you only access for inbound SMTP, you can disable or delete the other protocols and the internal Exchange server will be able to accept inbound SMTP messages.

HTH,
Tom
