I don't understand. "[Confused]" I am trying to publish two websites using Server Publishing rules. I am able to publish them separtely, but when I have both rules enabled OWA (Outlook Web Access) always takes precedent. What might I be doing wrong? "[Mad]" If I disable the OWA rule the other server publishing rule works without a problem. How can I get them to work at the same time? I have followed the tutorials provided in the learning zone.
"[Confused]"

Whay are you using serverpublishing rules, if you want to publish two web sites you need to use the web publishing rules.
Then you use two different port nummers to distuingish the sites and it should work.

NMartin29 -> RE: Publishing Multiple Website (25.Jul.2002 9:12:00 PM)

I set-up two publishing rules. Now neither one works. I restarted the services after making the changes. Do I need to wait several hours before I will be able to access the sites? I followed the Publishing Multiple Web Sites by Thomas Shinder Tutorial. [Frown]

In my case, the first worked really fast, but the second took about a night to get out there on the web.
Did you restart both services, ISA and IIS?

NMartin29 -> RE: Publishing Multiple Website (26.Jul.2002 1:49:00 PM)

It still doesn't work????? Yes, I restarted both services. Note, IIS is not on the ISA server machine. The websites are on two different machines. One machine is running Win 2K Pro and the other Win 2k Svr, but that shouldn't be a problem because since I am able to redirect to each one individually but not at the same time.

Kaj Drost -> RE: Publishing Multiple Website (26.Jul.2002 2:31:00 PM)

Ok, what is the error you are getting when connecting to your sites?
Also have you configured your weblistener on the ISA box?

NMartin29 -> RE: Publishing Multiple Website (26.Jul.2002 3:16:00 PM)

When I try to access the website I get the following message The Page cannot be displayed....cannot find server or DNS Error.

Yes, the Incoming Weblistern is configured as follows:

Identification
Configure listerns indidvidually per IP address
Server= proxy IP address= 66.255.8.100 Authentication= Intergrated TCP Port= 8080

NMartin29 -> RE: Publishing Multiple Website (26.Jul.2002 3:44:00 PM)

I have another question. When I try to attach another IP Address to the external card I am unable to get a response from it in the outside world. When I ping from the ISA server I get a reply, but from the outside it is blocked for some reason. Why would this happen?

Kaj Drost -> RE: Publishing Multiple Website (26.Jul.2002 5:16:00 PM)

By deafult ISa doesn't reply to pings, this is to be sure, someone doesn't use a spam attack on you.

And the web publishing rule you made redirects request from the external card to the internal address on which your web server listens?

NMartin29 -> RE: Publishing Multiple Website (26.Jul.2002 6:06:00 PM)

Yes, I have the rule set-up to go to the internal web server. If I create a Server Publishing rule I can access at least one site. It looks like Web Publishing Rules are not working at all.

Kaj Drost -> RE: Publishing Multiple Website (26.Jul.2002 6:43:00 PM)

Do you, in your destination set have an URL as destination or an IP address?

I tried it with an IP address, but that didn't work.

NMartin29 -> RE: Publishing Multiple Website (26.Jul.2002 6:49:00 PM)

I used the URL because the documentation says the IP Address function doesn't work. I tried it for kicks and it doesn't work. I have reveiwed the configurations several times. My supervisor even went over it as well. We are really stompted.....

Kaj Drost -> RE: Publishing Multiple Website (26.Jul.2002 7:34:00 PM)

Does it also give you the error, when you use IE on your ISA server?

I am running out of options too.

NMartin29 -> RE: Publishing Multiple Website (26.Jul.2002 8:36:00 PM)

Yes, I get the page cannot be displayed
10061-connection refused

Kaj Drost -> RE: Publishing Multiple Website (27.Jul.2002 12:24:00 AM)

This is getting weireder by the minute, you can acces any other saite on the internet from your server?

Connection refused, that is strange, Tom or Spousseele?, got any ideas on this one?

tshinder -> RE: Publishing Multiple Website (29.Jul.2002 6:44:00 AM)

Hi NM,

How do you have an OWA Server Publishing rule configured? How is the other rule configured? What are the details of each of the Server Publishing Rules?

Thanks!

Tom

NMartin29 -> RE: Publishing Multiple Website (29.Jul.2002 2:30:00 PM)

Tom,

The Server Publishing Rules are confirgured as follows:

OWA

General

Enable is checked

Actions
IP Address of internal server: 208.225.184.etc...

External IP Address on ISA Server: 66.255.8.100

Mapped Server Protocal: HTTP (Server)
Protocal Def: Port 80 Protocal Type: TCP
Definition: Inbound

Applies To
This Rule Applies to Any Request

Monifa

General

Enable is checked

Actions
IP Address of internal server: 208.225.184.etc...

External IP Address on ISA Server: 66.255.8.100

Mapped Server Protocal: HTTP (Monifa)
Protocal Def: Port 80 Protocal Type: TCP
Definition: Inbound

Applies To
This Rule Applies to Any Request

Right now only OWA works. If you go to proxy.osiritx.com/exchange OWA will come up. I can only have one publishing rule enabled at a time. If I have them both enabled neither one will work. If I create Web Pulishing rules like it says in your tutorial nothing works at all.

Web Publishing is set up as follows:

Monifa: Port 900
General
Enabled Checked

Destination
This rule applies to: Selected Destination Set
Name: Monifa
Destination included set: proxy.osiristx.com
/devsite*

Action
Redirect the request to the internal web server
208.225.184.etc.....

Connect to port when bridging request as HTTP: 900
(All other options are default)
Note: I made sure the port was 900 on IIS and restarted to server when I tried this.

Bridging: Default

Applies To: Any request

OWA

General
Enabled Checked

Destination
This rule applies to: Selected Destination Set
Name: Monifa
Destination included set: proxy.osiristx.com
/exchange*

Action
Redirect the request to the internal web server
208.225.184.etc.....

(All other options are default)

Bridging: Default

Applies To: Any request

What am I doing wrong?

AHobbs_uk -> RE: Publishing Multiple Website (1.Aug.2002 3:04:00 AM)

Its proberly not this, but i had a hell of a time getting my sites to work on the most simplest scenario. It ended up being my DNS, have you set it up so your external interface can be resolved?

If you have recenlty depromoted your server its likely this causes it, the only best way to solve it if its DNS is to rebuild! sounds to much but it solved mine and mine worked stright off.

Good luck

tshinder -> RE: Publishing Multiple Website (3.Aug.2002 7:58:00 PM)

Hi NM,

Is looks like you're publishing the same protocol mutliple times using the same external IP address, is tht correct? If so, that won't work!

HTH,
Tom
