I have a DNS server to resolve external addresses on the inside of my network. I have a standard server publishing rule pointing to my internal DNS server IP, specifing the DNS Query Server policy. This works fine most of the time, but every so often (about once every 2 days) external clients can no longer perform DNS lookups. I don't see anything amiss in ISA logs, no indication that the darn thing has ceased working. All other ISA server functions (firewall, other server rules, etc.) seem to be working fine. If I restart the ISA server cpu system, everything goes back to working normal. I am really frustrated by this. The system is a bit underpowered (for my liking) w/ 950 mhz AMD Duron w/ 512K. I have plans to upgrade soon, but I am afraid that this problem may not go away. Any Ideas? Anything I can look for in ISA logs for a clue to the problem?
