When I deploy FW Client via GP:
1. Exchange IM give Proxy sock 5 error.
2. there is no place where I can find the installation.
3. Add remove program indicate FW client is installed.

On Manuall install every thing works fine.

Any Idea what I m doing worng in deploy FW Client via GP (had tried both ways Assign and Publish)

Thanks,
Muhammad Nadeem

Hi Muhammad,

Do you see the authenticated Firewall client sessions in the log files and the ISA Management console?

Thanks!

Tom

Hi Tom,
I had checked ISA log as well as ISA Management console ..... no indication of any Session !

But in Add/remove program .....it is showing that FW client is installed.

anyother way to deploy FW Client via GP ?

Thanks,
Muhammad Nadeem

I have tried both ways.....
In case of Publish: nothing Install automatically
In case of Assign: It is showing in Add/Remove programs that "FW Client Installed"....but no icon in Control Pannel and nothing in Programs.
No session in ISA log or ISA Management console.

I have no clue why it is happening...... I m using the same policy and same user to deploy other S/W..working fine.

i have mine published and works a well, just logon - add/remove programs - add new software button and it's listed there

i think if you assign it you might want to assign it to the machine and not users

With publish and using Add/remove ..it will be working fine........but it require user interaction.

I don't want USER to do anything. Just login and Install automatically.

Tomorrow I will try to use "Assign to computer" and will let u know .

Thanks for all ur help
