Are you using firewall client or securenat?
if you are using securenat you need to create packet filter or protocol rule for IRC tcp/ouond/6667.
If you are firewall client, you don't need to create any protocol. FWC will dynamically open the reuired protocl.

goto extensions / http filters / and select 'send direct to requested web server'.
Now in explorer options, remove tick from 'use a proxy server'. and then check. I hope it will work. For some chat servers you need to create packet filter or protocol rule like volano chat server.

I enabled the IRC definition and mIRC (IRC) works fine except DCC doesn't work. It works of course when I allow all traffic but it doesn't. It worked before I rebuilt the ISA server. I backed up the previous settings before I formatted but of course when I tried to restore everything on the new build it said the configuration didn't match..go figure.. anyways, any help getting DCC to work would be helpful. Thanks.

to make DCC and IDENT for for mirc, add the following the the Firewall CLient Application Servers on the ISA server and then update the ISA Clients

[mirc32]
NameResolutionForLocalHost=P
ServerBindTcpPorts=113,1025-5000
[mirc]
NameResolutionForLocalHost=P
ServerBindTcpPorts=113,1025-5000
