I am connecting to an external web server across sbs2000 with ISA in place. My internal nic is 192.168.x.x, the external is 10.10.26.200 and I am connecting via a router and encrypted wireless to 10.10.22.11.

OK. The web server provides me a java applet which then connects me to a unix server. I have one set of connections through a terminal server. Monitoring the sessions indicates that these are firewall client connections which announce the user name/computer name. These work just fine. Connections from other computers, however, are called, by isa monitor, "web sessions." These are listed as anonymous, other than the internal IP 192.168.x.x, and cannot work with the java applet.

1. Why is this happening?
2. How can I force all my client browsers to connect through the firewall client or otherwise mitigate the problem I am having with connections.

Thanks for any help.

Hi hneuwirth,

1. Configure the clients as SecureNAT and/or Web Proxy clients

2. Configure the HTTP redirector to forward requests directly to the Web server

3. Configure the site(s) in question for Direct Access

HTH,
Tom
