I've just been playing around with autoconfig scripts.

In IE, I have entered the address for the autoconfig script and unticked the option to use a web proxy. I have a Firewall client installed but the HTTP redirector is set up to reject HTTP requests.

The autoconfig script works fine when the Firewall client is enabled but on computers without the Firewall client, or with the Firewall client disabled, the script does not work. Why is this?

Hi D,

Run a packet sniffer on the client. I suspect you have a name resolution problem.

HTH,
Tom
