Allow Access to Webmail over Port 3000 - 28.Jan.2004 6:11:00 AM
Guest
I have some consultants who need to access their company's webmail system. Their URL uses port 3000 however when I get a "10061: Connection Refused" message from my ISA server. If I bypass the proxy it works, however I want to audit their internet use. I have tried adding a protocol definition for TCP outbound for port 3000, but it didn't work. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

I would appreciate the help.

James

Hi James,

is it HTTP or HTTPS access?

If you want HTTPS access to an unstandard port number, check out http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;283284 . Grab the script 'SSL_TPR_add.vbs' from http://www.isatools.org/ , change the port range and run it on the ISA server.

For HTTP access, it might be necessary to first allow TCP port 3000 outbound in a protocol rule.

HTH,
Stefaan
