Hi all. We are having strange problems with a web site that uses https on port 444.

The web site is a government site (in Spain) that, after initial checking a client certificate, redirects to a https server that is running on port 444. The problem is that when passing thru ISA server all requests are lost and I get a blank page. Disabling ISA server makes them work fine.

Here are the steps to reproduce the problem:
1.- Go to http://www.delta.mtas.es
2.- Wait for it to load and you'll see a menu on the left hand side of the window. Press "[usuario registrado]"
3.- After a while it will redirect to https://remesas.mtas.es:444 and supposedly Internet Explorer should ask you which client certificate you want to use. I always get some kind of error message from the server (their tech support tells me that's because we can't connect to their port 444). I've defined protocol 444, and I see in ISA's log file the attempts to connect:

192.168.2.51 HIERCAB\mrarmas Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.0) 2004-04-06 11:13:37 SRV-ISA - www.delta.mtas.es - 444 - - - SSL-tunnel - www.delta.mtas.es:444 Inet 12204 - -

Shouldn't I see after 12204 the name of the rules that allowed that protocol to go outside?

Please help,
Pedr

Hi Pedr,

if you want HTTPS access to an unstandard port number, check out http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;283284 . Grab the script 'SSL_TPR_add.vbs' from http://www.isatools.org/ , change the port range and run it on the ISA server.

HTH,
Stefaan
