I need to block Yahoo!, AIM, and MSN Messengers. I have read and tried the widely promoted "How to Block Dangerouse Instant Messengers" article, but I am still having trouble. The only messenger I have been able to block is MSN and I don't know why.

Here is the first question I have:
If I have everyone in my network set up as SecureNAT, will any of these blocking methods work? Due to the ease of network setup, this is what I have set-up.

Any advice will be appreciated.

Use a sniffer to find the yahoo communication ports.
You can use sniffer http://www.arechisoft.com

Then on protocol definition and create a new entry for yahoo and use that in protocol rule to block yahoo.

If your users are still able to connect to MSN messenger you may have to check your allowed protocol rules
