I have two ISA's. One is internal and the other external (in a DMZ). I have a securenat PC configured pointing to the internal ISA server. If the request this server receives is internal, it will route it internally. If the request is for an Internet page, it is supposed to forward the request to the external ISA server. However, I get an error when I try this:

When the server, while acting as a gateway or proxy, contacted the upstream content server, it did not receive a timely response.

However, if I configure the test PC as a web proxy client, I can go anywhere on the Internet.

Any ideas on this one.

TIA,

Dan

Hi Dan,

What error code do you see in the log of the upstream server? Have you configured firewall chaining or made the downsteam a SecureNAT client of the upstream?

HTH,
Tom
