Hi,

Is it possible to Map which external IP Addresses Map to which Internal Addresses with SNAT or is it only done dynamically? I know static mapping can be done with can be done with Win 2000 RRAS IP NAT and the Cisco IOS.

If the the above answer is no to Static Mapping can RRAS IP NAT be used on the same server as Secure NAT?

Thanks

Any advice Appreciated

Hi wildey,

first of all, Win 2000 RRAS IP NAT is *not* compatible with ISA server. So, don't enable or use it on ISA server.

For outbound access, all internal addresses are translated to the primary external IP address of ISA server.

For inbound access, it is the server publishing rule which defines the mapping between the external and internal IP address. Keep in mind that you can have multiple IP addresses on the external interface of ISA server.

HTH,
Stefaan

Is there any way to solve this?
I have 3 servers that initiate connections to external servers and need to be identified by its own valid IP address.
What can I do?
Regards.

This can be accomplished with the ISA firewall using a third-party product called IPBinder from Collective Software.
