Hey all,

We already have a corporate network of 150 computers in our company and now want to add a small number of wireless desktops PCs(about 4 to 6)to the LAN. 'Standard' wireless security will be applied but I was wondering if I could also use a DMZ just for the Wireless LAN? I want users to access the Internet via existing proxy but not to access anything else, eg. files, email, etc.

Is using a DMZ a good idea in this scenario?

Any help/suggestions would be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Sunil.

Hi Sunil,

The standard method and the one I prefer the most is to put the Wlan clients on an external segment and require them to VPN into the network.

HTH,
Tom
