Hi Here is how I would like to setup my network. I will have 1 domain controller (win 200 server with active directory installed). Then i would install an ISA server on another machine pluged to my dsl (with static IP) and another NIC to my network I'm wondering if I install the isa with a internal lat, and I give static ip adresses to all the internal workstation and the server, could it be done. I have 65 stations for this network and I dont plan to have an internal webserver for now. Should I install DNS or.... I'm I doing something right... By the way, there is no router involve in this network. I want to keep it as simple and secured as possible. Thanks Philippe [This message has been edited by zoyoff (edited 05 October 2001).] [This message has been edited by zoyoff (edited 05 October 2001).]

Hi Philippe, This sounds like a good setup. When you install AD, you will have to install DNS. But don't let the AD Wizard create the DNS server for you, create your domain manually first and then let AD populate the zone afterwards. This will allow the Root Hints files to be populated with the information about the Internet Root servers. HTH, Tom ------------------ http://www.isaserver.org/shinder/ Get It Here!
