Hi all,

We are having issues with downloading files from FTP server. We have Isa server 2004 std edition installed with SP1. When a secure nat client tries to use the Smart FTP program to connect to an FTP site it connects to the site but fhas prpblems transffering files. From what i;'ve seen its doing using the SSL explicit mode. The connection would time out after 30-40 seconds.

I've checked the rule and the Read Only tab in cleared for the rule. I wondering if this is an issues with ISA and is fixed in SP2? We have yet to apply SP2 due to the problems encountered by many people and now that's finally been resolved by hotfix we will apply this at the next opportunity.

Any ideas?

Hi Ashok,

there is a known problem with FTP and SecureNAT client in ISA 2004 SP1. For more info, check out http://forums.isaserver.org/m_250046300/mpage_1/key_/2001998607. The good news is that that issue is resolved in ISA 2004 SP2.
