sNAT not working properly when joining win2k3 domain with ISA

The problem: when setting up fresh Windows XP Pro workstation their internet connection is not working properly, while computers that were in the domain before ISA 2000 was installed - work correct.

Whats happening:
- proxy cannot be reached so browsing only possible with "direct" connection, redirecting filter turned on (on ISA)
(on the "old" computers browsing works WITH or WITHOUT proxy )

- for example ftp session looks like this:
open ftp.com
Connected to ftp.com
User: anonymous
// 20 seconds later
331: Guest login ok enter password
421: Disconnected since no password after 20 seconds

There is no chance to enter the password because the 331 and 421 responses come together very late.
Again, the old computers work correctly.

Some IM softwares do not work (eg ICQ) - on older it works.

SMTP communication is broken.
-Connecting
-Connected
-Authorizing //hang
-timeout

There are no client sets (all rules apply to all requests) and there are no limitations what so ever (only allowing rules).

Config: Win2k3 Server+DC+DNS+DHCP(not used)
workstations are WinXP Pro SP1/SP2 / Win 98SE

can the SecureNAT client resolve external DNS names on his own?

Status: offline 		The whole thing was really weird. I have set up 3 pcs, all with the exact same strange behaviour.

but I solved it, 30 mins ago. I just cant believe some things hit my mind so late - I restarted the DC comp - <ashamed> [Embarrassed] ... all clients began to work properly as SNAT clients..

I dont get it, why was restarting necessary ? [Confused] I restarted ISA 'tens' times, same the DNS and other servers but just could be bothered to press the red button .. [Frown]
