Dr Sninder. I read an article about you, and I was wonder what your or others thoughts are on this. I read this article: http://searchwin2000.techtarget.com/originalContent/0,289142,sid1_gci948558,00.html?Offer=sb04091

And the Beta Project manager made commment to scaleing only to 1500 users (desktops). I was wondering if this would be a scaleing issue with the beta 2004 product, or if you or anyone feels Microsoft is going after the small to remote office market. Here was the quote/comment from Joel Sloss "Joel Sloss, a Microsoft product manager for ISA Server 2004, said that the firewall is best used in an environment that has no more than 1,500 desktops. Sloss said he expects that the largest enterprises might use the firewall in a remote office or for a specific department."

Thoughts please

Hi cchchhchia,

Not sure where those figures came from, but Joel is a very reliable guy, so if that's what he said, he had a good reason for saying it. I'll see if I can get some more details on this issue.

The book should be out during the summer. Want to make sure we get the best info possible so that when you get the book, you'll be ready to make ISA2004 dance and sing to *your* tune!

Thanks!
Tom
