I tested ISA 2006 on a server named "isaproxy" with IP 192.168.0.2. Testing for a month all was good, so I decided to go live with a new server. I took "isaproxy" offline (crappy test hardware), and installed ISA on a new computer to go live. The live production ISA is now called "isa" with an IP of 192.168.0.208. The problem i'm now having is that the FWC wants to resolve to "isaproxy" even though i've manually told it to resolve to "isa." It therefore sets up IE pointing to "isaproxy" even though that server no longer exists on my network; thus, no internet connection. Steps taken so far.... * deleted "isaproxy" computer account from the domain * deleted DNS entries for isaproxy * deleted WINS entries for isaproxy For test purposes, I created an Alias record in my DNS called isaproxy that resolves to isa, and the FWC functions correctly which allows internet connectivity.

Found the problem. Before I took down my test server, isaproxy, I backed up all the settings. When I brought on my live server, isa, I restored all the settings. This restore copied over the firewall client settings which carried over the test ISA's name of "isaproxy." I made the change, and all is working well now.
