Hi everyone,

we're currently facing a serious problem with one of our web publishing rules. We use it to make our company's web forum (phpBB) accessible from outside our network.
When browsing the forum using the external URL (https://portal.company.com/forum) the browser sometimes gets redirected to the corresponding internal URL (https://server/ourforum).
This server of course cannot be accessed via the internet so that the request fails. The configuration of the forum software seems to be ok to me. Nothing there that might indicate it's the forum's fault.
We've been using ISA 2006 for quite a while now to publish several web apps. Never had this kind of problem before.

Hope someone can help,

thanks in advance,
Kevin

Tried disabling the compression filter since it used to be the culprit for one or two other problem we had in the past but it didn't help.
This really starts to become a pain in the a** since it happens so randomly and is almost irreproducible.

We've never had this kind of problem before (been using ISA for years now).

please check that you do not have a web publishing rule with the public name configured same as u have in ur publishign rule for "Forum" and it is not in priority higher than the rule you are having issues with.

OMG!!
Looks we like we made total fools out of ourselves
The forum software has has an option to enforce the url. Since this option is set we didn't have anymore problems.

Thanks anyway and sorry for the inconvenience.

Kevin
