webproxy filter makes blank pages - 11.Mar.2005 7:26:00 PM

When using a webproxy client, some web pages show up as blank. Going the SNAT there are no issues. It is only an issue when it runs through the http web proxy. And example page is http://support.solarwinds.net/updates/New-CustomerFree.cfm?ProdID=92

Any idea on a fix for this? I could turn off web proxy or bypass it for every site that is a problem, but what would be the point to ISA then?
I am running ISA 2004 SP1.

Hi James,

My Web proxy filter doesn't have a problem with this page. What makes you think the Web proxy filter is the culprit?

Thanks!
Tom

Hello All,

Had similar problem with a number of sites.

Work-around that seems to do the trick:

Create an Allow Access rule above other rules that restrict content type.

In this rule in the To section, create a URL set and a Computer Set which includes the relevant website URL's and the relevant IP's of the problem websites, all content types allowed, default HTTP Filtering options,

You can still block access by User Group membership

Have a sneaking suspicion that this is similar to problem in ISA 2000 when page did not have any content type header... see MS Article
