some help for someone who knows very little about ISA but sysadmin is away.

we have a single server with ISA and have just started to use the IIS on the same box to serve a local intranet site.

when we browse to our intranet IIS website using http://localhost/website , then everything is fine. if we use the ip address then it si stil fine.

when we use http://IISwebservername/website we get a 403 forbidden from the ISA

what are we missing??????

Hi Kate,

Sounds like a name resolution problem.

How is the client resolving the name of the Web site?

The Admin needs to setup a split DNS.

HTH,
Tom
