Hi

The question i would like to ask is why on some sites do I need to use the firewall, main when using applications on the web.

Is there a way of not using the firewall and just opening up ports to fix these problems.

Thanks

Chris

Do you mean the Firewall Client (FWC)? The Web Proxy (WP) has limited port ranges which is what I assume you would use if/when not using the FWC. S-NAT clients could be made to work in most cases if the client and the rules take S-NAT into consideration.
