I have time.windows.com set as the time service on an XP Pro SP2 box.

I have ISA Server 2000 Firewall Client installed.

Even though I've punched a hole going out for DNS Query, DNS Zone Transfer, NTP (UDP), I'm getting W32Time errors of:

Time Provider NtpClient: An error occurred during DNS lookup of the manually configured peer 'time.windows.com'. NtpClient will try the DNS lookup again in 30 minutes..

I can open NSlookup from a DOS command prompt on the XP box - and look time.windows.com.

I can use an FTP client on the XP box, and locate an outside FTP server by host name.

How am I misreading this error? Does W32Time use some other method of DNS lookup - that I've overlooked? I think the box has the ability to do a DNS lookup - due to the NsLookup and FTP working ok.

The ISA Server box external NIC has an outside primary and secondary DNS - and I've tried adding those to the XP box's NIC (although I believe read in Shinder's 'Configuring ISA Server 2000' that it would use the ISA's external NIC.)
