I have a web publishing rule which allows me to access my site using www.mysite.com. However, when I try to access mysite.com, I get "Error Code: 403 Forbidden." I've tried to create a web publishing rule for mysite.com, but still get the "403" error. I would appreciate any information on the solution of this problem.

Did you created an "A" record on your DNS for mysite.com

403= no permission to the site please check the IIS settings and ensure you have perm to access the site.

Thank you Ian and RM for your quick responses.

Ian, I don't believe I've created an "A" record because I don't know what one is. Forgive me, but I'm somewhat new to ISA Server. Would you please provide the steps required to create such a record?

RM, "mysite.com" and "www.mysite.com" point to the same site. It does not seem to me that IIS would grant me access to "www.mysite.com" but deny me access to "mysite.com." But if you still think it might be IIS, would you let me know which setting you are referring to?

The full error message I'm getting is "Error Code: 403 Forbidden. The server denied the specified Uniform Resource Locator (URL). Contact the server administrator. (12202) " I've noticed that usually, if it is ISA Server that is denying the access, the error message will indicate that. So maybe it is an IIS setting.

Add mysite.com to your entries in the 'public name' tab of the publishing rule.
